Philosophy

Our philosophy at Missoula Valley School of Taxidermy is to continually strive for excellence in all phases of the art of taxidermy. We feel very fortunate to have discovered a career that allows us to earn a living while expressing our life long love of nature and wildlife. MVST has allowed us to share this knowledge with students from all over the US and Canada, as well as many other countries. We pass this knowledge and experience on to others by using teaching methods based on quality, rather than quantity. It is through precision, not repetition, that perfection is learned.

As a beginner, you first need to concentrate on quality and details in order to properly learn the art of taxidermy. Your standards of excellence will then stay with you as you gradually become more time efficient. You are unlikely to learn perfection if speed is the main emphasis during your taxidermy training. It is a much more spontaneous process to gradually attain speed once perfection is learned.

As teachers, we continue to strive for excellence by keeping abreast of all the latest and most modern taxidermy methods. By constantly updating our techniques in this ever changing field, we can guarantee the most top quality education available. Because of this, we have become one of the most popular choices for students who are considering Taxidermy Schools from all over the United States!
