POLICIES

Enrollment

Class size is limited to eight or fewer taxidermy students per session. Enrollment reservations are accepted any time prior to the first day of class provided there are openings available. Early registration is strongly recommended however, in order to arrange housing and insure placement in the Taxidermy class of your choice. For this reason, we offer an ongoing early enrollment incentive of $100.00 off the application fee to students who register at least six weeks prior to the first day of class.

To register, please complete the taxidermy school enrollment application that we will send to you upon request via E-Mail, written request or phone. A non-refundable Enrollment Fee in the amount of $650.00 is required, ($550.00 for those who register at least 6 weeks early) . The Tuition Fee will be applied towards your tuition cost, with balance due on or before the first day of class.

 Enrollment Fee is $650.00

($550.00 for those registering 6 weeks in advance.)

PRINT the Enrollment Form in MS Word or PDF format.

Payment Schedule

Tuition is due on or before the first day of class. Specimen and Form amounts are due within one week of the date the bill is received. Any student still owing tuition by the second Monday of class will be dismissed unless other arrangements have previously been made. Diplomas will not be issued to graduates with outstanding balances until they are paid in full.

Refunds

If a refund is necessary, it will be issued on a pro-rated basis according to the date of termination. The termination date will be the day on which the school receives written notice of the student's intent to withdraw, or seven days after the last date attended. In no event will MVST retain less than the $600.00 Enrollment Fee amount. No refund will be issued to students completing more than 50% of their Taxidermy training.

For veteran students, we will observe the veteran refund policy that is in effect at the time of your enrollment.

Requirements

Students must be at least 18 years of age, be able to read and write English, and have reasonable manual dexterity. If you do not have normal color vision, we need to know in advance. You will not be turned down for color vision reasons.

Grading

A traditional grading system is not used, as our step-by-step monitoring of each student's work provides continuous evaluation and feedback. We have found this to be very effective in producing superior results, as demonstrated by our 100% graduation success rate! Upon satisfactorily completing your requirements you will receive a a graduation diploma. Students will be evaluated on each mount. Mounts will be given the grade of "Pass" or "Fail". Students need to receive a "Pass" on all mounts to successfully complete the course. Required mounts are listed on the Courses page.

Attendance

Regular taxidermy class attendance is imperative, therefore attendance records are kept. Chronic tardiness and absences are detrimental to training and will be dealt with on an individual basis.
Approved for VA Benefits by State Approving Agency.
Veterans previous education and training policy:
Credit for previos training will be evaluated and appropriate credit given for each veteran.
Standards of Progress:
Students receiving a "Fail" will be individually tutored and worked with until a "Pass" grade is received. Every effort is made to ensure a students success. The school holds all student records. Students may review their records at any time and may go over them with the instructor. Students may authorize release of their records to employers.
